Experience transformative art-based workshops designed to enhance collaboration, innovation, and leadership within your organisation

Corporate Team Building & Creative Workshops

At Dya Australia, we use creative corporate workshops and team building experiences to bring people together in a different way. Through relaxed, artist-led sessions in our Port Melbourne studio or at your workplace, teams explore new ways of thinking, strengthen communication, and reconnect on a human level. Our art-based corporate events support collaboration, staff wellbeing and leadership development, while building the soft skills today’s workplaces rely on.

Why creativity belongs at work

We believe creativity is not just for artists. It is a practical way for teams to slow down, reflect, and see challenges from a new angle. In a world of constant change, hybrid work and data-driven decisions, teams also need space for curiosity, connection and shared meaning.

Dya’s corporate workshops use hands-on artmaking as a framework for conversation and collaboration. Guided by experienced artists and facilitators, participants move from observing and questioning to creating something together. The process is simple and welcoming, but it opens the door to deeper thinking, better communication and more cohesive team culture.

Team Building Activities We Offer:
3 ways to work with your team

Every team has different needs. Some need a light, social boost. Others are ready to work on communication, trust or leadership. Our corporate offering is organised into three pathways so you can choose the kind of experience that fits your goals.

Social Teams

Social Team workshops are relaxed, playful events that bring colour and energy into workplace relationships. Through experiences like Paint & Sip, Play with Clay and Paint in the Dark, colleagues connect in a low-pressure setting that feels special, while boosting morale and a sense of belonging.

Trained Teams

Trained Team workshops combine creative practice with soft skills development. Using art as a neutral medium, teams explore how they listen, communicate and collaborate, with guided activities that support trust, psychological safety and more effective day-to-day teamwork.

Lead Teams

Lead Team experiences are designed for leaders and project teams who hold responsibility for direction and culture. Through tailored creative processes, they step away from routine meetings to think together differently, clarify vision and practise the kind of shared leadership needed in times of complexity and change.

How our method works

Underpinning all of our corporate workshops is the Dya Creative Thinking Model: observe, Doubt and experience. Participants first slow down and notice, then gently challenge their usual patterns of thought, and finally give those insights form through a shared artwork. This sequence helps people move from talking about change to actively trying new behaviours in a safe, playful context.

Our facilitators are practising artists and experienced group leaders. They create an environment where everyone, including “non-creative” people, can participate comfortably. The focus is not on artistic skill, but on curiosity, reflection and the conversations that emerge while making something side by side.

Discover our Programs

Within each team pathway, you can choose from a range of programs with different formats, themes and timeframes. Some are best for quick injections of energy or connection; others work well as part of leadership programs, conferences or strategy days.

“You can’t just talk about creativity, you must fully experience it” Diti, Dya Founder

We believe that creativity is a core human skill – not just for artists, but for every team navigating change, complexity, and growth.

That’s why we create experiential workshops that use art to unlock new ways of thinking, build emotional connection, and develop the soft skills that truly drive performance.

At Dya Australia, we help teams evolve through meaningful, hands-on learning that lasts.

FAQ

Yes. We deliver sessions at our Port Melbourne studio, at client sites across Melbourne, and online or in hybrid formats. Some programs work particularly well in person; others can be adapted for remote teams. When you enquire, we will discuss location options and what is realistic for your team.

We have 3 studios in our venue, biggest space can fit up to 60 people seated. The whole venue across all studios can fit about 100 people.

Offsite and online we have the ability to accommodate hundrads of people.

No. Our workshops are designed for people who do not see themselves as creative. Instructions are clear and step-by-step, and the focus is on the experience and conversation, not on producing a perfect artwork. Many participants tell us that they are surprised by how comfortable and enjoyable the process feels.

Most of our corporate workshops run between 2 to 3 hours. We can also design shorter creative resets or half-day and full-day experiences for conferences and strategy days. Timing is flexible and we will recommend a format that suits your goals and group size.

Often, yes. We can usually weave in a loose theme such as end-of-year celebration, project wrap-up, welcome day or a particular colour/story linked to your organisation. If you have something specific in mind, tell us when you enquire and we will let you know what is realistic within the chosen program.

Not at all. Some teams prefer to include drinks, others don’t, and many choose a mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. The core of the experience is the creative activity and time together. We are happy to work within your organisation’s policies and preferences.

If the workshop is at our studio, you simply confirm numbers and any access needs. If we come to your workplace or another venue, we ask for a clear space with tables and chairs, access to water and protection for surfaces if needed. We bring all art materials and talk you through any simple set-up steps in advance.

Yes. Social Team workshops are designed so people can participate at their own pace. The workshop is guided and low-pressure, and there is space for quieter team members to join in without being put on the spot. We find that even reserved participants usually relax once they are focused on the activity rather than on themselves.
