A flexible studio session for teams who like choice

WHY CHOOSE THIS ACTIVITY

DIY with Dya is ideal for teams who value autonomy and variety. Rather than everyone following the same project, participants can choose from different creative options and work at their own pace. This makes it a strong option for groups with diverse interests, where you want people to feel free to explore whatever medium or style appeals to them most.

WHAT WE ACTUALLY DO

The studio is set up with multiple creative stations, such as painting, drawing, collage or simple mixed-media activities. After a short introduction, participants choose where to begin and can move between stations over the course of the session. Facilitators are on hand to offer guidance, demonstrations and gentle prompts, while keeping the atmosphere open and informal.

SOCIAL TEAM CONTEXT

An open studio format gives people permission to follow their curiosity and to join others when it feels natural. As team members wander, compare what they are making and share ideas, connections form in an easy and unforced way. The variety of outcomes at the end of the session becomes a visual conversation starter and a reflection of the different strengths and preferences within the team.

Two Hands-On Programs to Close the Year Creatively All-in-One: Picasso Mural This collaborative painting workshop invites each participant to paint one part of a larger mural. When combined, the canvases reveal a bold, Picasso-inspired group artwork, symbolising teamwork, shared vision, and collective creativity. It's ideal for reinforcing connection, problem-solving and co-creation, making it perfect for teams who want to reflect on their journey together and celebrate what they’ve built as one. Play with Clay In this tactile, relaxing workshop, team members work with clay to create a sculptural or functional piece, no prior experience required. The session encourages mindfulness, creative risk-taking, and hands-on engagement, offering a refreshing break from the screen and a calming way to close a fast-paced year. It’s ideal for teams looking to recharge, connect through creativity, and start the new year with renewed focus. Tips for a Meaningful End-of-Year Team Activity To make your end-of-year activity more impactful, consider these tips: Start with purpose: Be clear about what you want the experience to achieve: connection, creativity, reflection, or all three. Make it inclusive: Choose an activity that works for all personalities and experience levels. Create space for reflection: Even a short conversation at the end of the session can deepen learning and connection. Celebrate the outcome: Display the team’s artwork or creations back at work to keep the experience alive. Carry it forward: Reference the activity in your January team meetings as a reminder of what’s possible when you create together. End the Year with Purpose, Start the Next with Momentum Your team deserves more than just a celebration. A creative, hands-on experience like Picasso Mural or Play with Clay can help them reconnect, reset, and move into the new year with energy and confidence. Dya Australia’s corporate workshops make it easy to create a memorable end-of-year event that strengthens team morale and builds lasting value. What Australian Teams Say

FAQ

Most corporate workshops run for 90 minutes to 2.5 hours, depending on the program and your schedule. Some activities can be adapted into shorter “creative reset” sessions, while others work best as half-day or full-day experiences. When you enquire, we will recommend a duration that fits your aims and the flow of your event.

We work with small teams through to large groups. Each program has a recommended range for group size, which you’ll see in the program details. If your numbers sit outside that range, let us know and we can suggest formats or adjustments that will still give everyone a good experience.

No. Our corporate workshops are designed for people who do not see themselves as creative. Instructions are clear and step by step, and the focus is on the process and connection rather than on producing a “perfect” artwork. Many participants are surprised by how comfortable and enjoyable it feels once they get started.

Most programs can run at our Port Melbourne studio or at your workplace. Some can also be delivered at offsite venues or adapted for online and hybrid formats. The program page outlines the main options, and we can talk through what is realistic for your team size, budget and location.

We supply all art materials and facilitation for the creative activity. If the workshop is at our studio, you simply confirm numbers and any access needs. For sessions at your workplace or another venue, we usually ask for tables, chairs, access to water and protection for surfaces if needed. We will go through any specific requirements with you during planning.

Yes. Many of our corporate workshops can be customised to reflect your values, event theme or current focus areas such as wellbeing, collaboration, leadership or change. Some programs are more structured than others, but there is usually room to adapt framing, reflection prompts or visual elements so the session speaks directly to your context.

Absolutely. Our programs often sit within larger events as an energiser, connector or deeper reflective element. We can work with you to position the workshop at the right point in your agenda and match the tone to the rest of the day, whether you need something light and social or more focused on leadership and culture.

For popular dates and larger groups, it is best to book several weeks in advance. However, we can sometimes accommodate shorter lead times, especially for weekday sessions. If you have a specific date in mind, contact us as soon as possible and we will let you know what is available and which programs can work.

While each program is different, common outcomes include stronger connection between colleagues, improved communication, fresh ways of thinking about challenges and a clearer sense of shared purpose. For Trained and Lead programs, there is often additional focus on soft skills such as collaboration, decision-making, psychological safety or leadership mindset.

Pricing depends on group size, program type, location and any customisation. Many workshops are charged per person with a minimum spend. When you share your details and preferences, we will send a clear quote outlining inclusions, options and any additional costs such as venue hire or catering if relevant.
