“My Vision” Scenery Painting Workshop

In this guided team building workshop, your team will discover the fascinating process of translating ideas into captivating paintings. Led by experienced artists, you will embark on a step-by-step journey to create your own distinctive interpretation of a beloved scenic view.

A visual way for teams to imagine the future together

WHY CHOOSE THIS ACTIVITY
This workshop is a good match for teams working on strategy, future planning or clarifying direction. Instead of staying in abstract language, participants are invited to translate their ideas about the future into a shared visual landscape. This can unlock imagination, reveal hopes and concerns, and support more grounded conversations about where the team is heading.

WHAT WE ACTUALLY DO
With guidance from an artist, the group creates a large scenery painting that symbolises a future state: key milestones, challenges, resources and opportunities. Participants contribute elements, symbols and colours that carry meaning for them, and negotiate together how they appear in the composition. Along the way, the facilitator helps the team articulate what their choices represent in relation to their real work.

WHY THIS TYPE OF EXPERIENCE MATTERS
Translating plans into imagery helps teams notice what they are excited about, what they are worried about and where expectations differ. The process creates a shared reference point that is easier to recall than a document or slide. This can make ongoing strategy discussions more concrete, inclusive and connected to what people actually feel and see.

Dya ran our EOY team activity and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! From setting up the room to thoughtfully providing all the necessary equipment (including music), the team took care of every detail.

We selected the “Aussie outback” landscape and had a range of options to draw inspiration from which was amazing as it allowed everyone to truly make the painting their own! Dya fostered a space of creativity, fun & connection - their support and ability to inspire confidence & imagination was outstanding. Highly recommend!!

FAQ

Most corporate workshops run for 90 minutes to 2.5 hours, depending on the program and your schedule. Some activities can be adapted into shorter “creative reset” sessions, while others work best as half-day or full-day experiences. When you enquire, we will recommend a duration that fits your aims and the flow of your event.

We work with small teams through to large groups. Each program has a recommended range for group size, which you’ll see in the program details. If your numbers sit outside that range, let us know and we can suggest formats or adjustments that will still give everyone a good experience.

No. Our corporate workshops are designed for people who do not see themselves as creative. Instructions are clear and step by step, and the focus is on the process and connection rather than on producing a “perfect” artwork. Many participants are surprised by how comfortable and enjoyable it feels once they get started.

Most programs can run at our Port Melbourne studio or at your workplace. Some can also be delivered at offsite venues or adapted for online and hybrid formats. The program page outlines the main options, and we can talk through what is realistic for your team size, budget and location.

We supply all art materials and facilitation for the creative activity. If the workshop is at our studio, you simply confirm numbers and any access needs. For sessions at your workplace or another venue, we usually ask for tables, chairs, access to water and protection for surfaces if needed. We will go through any specific requirements with you during planning.

Yes. Many of our corporate workshops can be customised to reflect your values, event theme or current focus areas such as wellbeing, collaboration, leadership or change. Some programs are more structured than others, but there is usually room to adapt framing, reflection prompts or visual elements so the session speaks directly to your context.

Absolutely. Our programs often sit within larger events as an energiser, connector or deeper reflective element. We can work with you to position the workshop at the right point in your agenda and match the tone to the rest of the day, whether you need something light and social or more focused on leadership and culture.

For popular dates and larger groups, it is best to book several weeks in advance. However, we can sometimes accommodate shorter lead times, especially for weekday sessions. If you have a specific date in mind, contact us as soon as possible and we will let you know what is available and which programs can work.

While each program is different, common outcomes include stronger connection between colleagues, improved communication, fresh ways of thinking about challenges and a clearer sense of shared purpose. For Trained and Lead programs, there is often additional focus on soft skills such as collaboration, decision-making, psychological safety or leadership mindset.

Pricing depends on group size, program type, location and any customisation. Many workshops are charged per person with a minimum spend. When you share your details and preferences, we will send a clear quote outlining inclusions, options and any additional costs such as venue hire or catering if relevant.
