From Giclée to Digital File

Replicating the Tapestry of Knowledge
The technology of printing, creating endless copies, originated in China for typesetting, in Europe for the printing press, and in the home printers we use today.

Learning outcomes:

Students will explore printing artists from different eras, traditional and modern techniques, integrating them with contemporary technologies. In a hands-on workshop, they will create a giclée and replicate copies inspired by ancient and modern prints.
