Landscape Expressions: Unveiling the Artist Within

In this workshop students will explore a variety of landscape artworks as a means of expressing their physical environment and personal identity.

By exploring diverse landscapes depicted by renowned artists, students will enhance their understanding of how artists convey meaning and messages through their work. They will then create their own artwork that reflects a personal interpretation of their chosen landscape.

The workshop will culminate in a group exhibition where students with be guided through the process of curating, hanging, and promoting an art show, providing them with valuable insights into the practical aspects of showcasing their artwork.

This practical experience offers students a unique opportunity to witness their creative expressions come to life outside the confines of the classroom, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the transformative power of art.

Learning outcomes:

Students will analyse and interpret artistic techniques, gaining a deeper understanding of how artists convey meaning and messages through their art.

Students will create their own artwork inspired by a chosen landscape, applying artistic techniques and concepts to express their personal interpretation.

Students will actively participate in curating, hanging, and promoting an art exhibition, utilizing their creative and organizational skills.

Students will reflect on their artistic journey, demonstrating growth in their comprehension of the relationship between art and self-expression, and gaining confidence in their ability to create and present their artwork to others.
