A shared artwork built from many individual perspectives
WHY CHOOSE THIS ACTIVITY
This workshop is ideal when you want to explore how individual perspectives contribute to a shared picture. It works well for teams navigating change, working across functions or trying to build a stronger sense of common direction. Each person’s piece matters, and the group has to find ways to bring them together into a coherent whole.
WHAT WE ACTUALLY DO
Participants each create a small artwork based on a brief related to a theme, value or question relevant to the team. These pieces are then brought together like a puzzle to form a larger composite artwork. The facilitator guides the group through discussion and practical decision-making about how to assemble the work, what to foreground and how to balance different voices visually.
WHY THIS TYPE OF EXPERIENCE MATTERS
Seeing many small, distinct artworks come together to form a single piece offers a strong metaphor for team and organisational life. It makes it easier to talk about inclusion, alignment and the challenges of honouring difference while working towards shared goals. The final artwork becomes a lasting reminder of what can be built when everyone’s view is taken into account.
