As April comes to an end, We reflect on a theme that’s flowed through our learning spaces this month—Fish. Inspired by the gentle wisdom of the koi, we’ve been asking:

What if growth depended on the space we allow ourselves?

Koi fish grow according to the size of their environment. The more space they have—the more they flourish.

At Dya, we believe the same is true for children. When given room to explore, imagine, and reflect, they flourish—not just in knowledge, but in confidence, creativity, and identity. We design environments that encourage curiosity, courage, and deep personal growth. Open-ended learning is more than a method—it’s a mindset, and space is where it starts.

 

Lines of Identity

A hands-on workshop where students explore self-expression through printmaking. As they transition to high school, students create self-portrait prints that reflect who they are right now—supported by a blend of research, historical techniques, and personal exploration. This artistic journey culminates in a mini exhibition celebrating their evolving identity.

 

Paint in the Dark

A glowing, unforgettable team experience that brings creativity to life under UV light. Using fluorescent paints in a darkened room, participants collaborate, play, and create radiant artwork guided by a professional facilitator. It’s an energizing way to spark imagination and strengthen team connection.

 

Looking Ahead: Welcoming May with The Line

In May, we begin a new theme: The Line — A Journey Through Form and Meaning.

This month, we’ll explore:

• The minimalist beauty of line drawing
• How a single stroke can express emotion, energy, and intent
• The calming, meditative nature of continuous-line techniques
• How personal lines can become maps of identity and self-discovery
