Innovation Architects: Designing the Future Through Collaboration

This workshop promotes teamwork, problem-solving, and STEAM education through the integration of creative thinking.

Students will actively participate in a range of collaborative challenges that require them to think, plan, and succeed as a cohesive group. During the program, students will have the opportunity to apply their engineering skills while drawing inspiration from sustainable and ecological building practices.

Students will encounter a series of construction challenges that will stimulate logical, creative, lateral, and critical thinking, fostering the development of these cognitive abilities. Through these activities, students will enhance their communication and cooperation skills as they work together to overcome the challenges presented.

As a culmination of their efforts, students will have the chance to connect their individual structures, reinforcing the collaborative nature of the workshop and showcasing the power of teamwork. By engaging in this program, students will not only strengthen their problem-solving and engineering abilities, but also cultivate a deeper appreciation for the importance of collaboration in achieving shared goals.

Learning outcomes:

Students will examine sustainable and ecological building practices, gaining an understanding of the principles and techniques used in constructing environmentally friendly structures.

Students will demonstrate teamwork and collaboration in achieving common goals. They will understand the value of effective communication, cooperation, and task distribution in a group setting.

Students will apply engineering skills and creative thinking to solve construction challenges. They will utilize logical, lateral, and critical thinking strategies to overcome obstacles and successfully complete collaborative tasks.

Students will analyse different climate regions and their unique architectural needs, identifying key factors to consider when designing and constructing buildings in various environments.

Students will critically assess the effectiveness of their collaborative efforts and identify areas for improvement in their teamwork and problem-solving skills.
